		<description>Another big difference is that steel cylinders have round bottoms and aluminum ones have flat bottoms. So in the absence of any boot on the bottom steel tanks can&#039;t be stood on end. I notice my steel doubles are much easier to put in the trunk of my car without the boots because they slide along the carpeted mat.

I don&#039;t have any regular size steel tanks (just double 95s and a 40, all made by Faber) so I can&#039;t speak from experience on the weighting difference, but with a dry suit and an AL80 I need about 28lb in fresh water, vs 4-8 pounds with my doubles. I need more on shallow dives because it takes some effort to push the last bit of air out of the suit when moving up and down the water column.
