About
Welcome to The Diving Blog, a blog about all aspects of recreational diving.
My name is David Harmon, and I run The Diving Blog. I started the blog to discuss issues faced by scuba divers of all levels, offer tips as I come across them, and educate divers about their undersea world. In short, I want to help you become a better diver.
I completed basic PADI Open Water certification in the fall of 2008, and have been obsessed ever since. I moved on to complete Advanced Open Water certification in May 2009, and Rescue Diver in July of 2009. In March 2010 I finished my Divemaster certification. I plan to complete my Open Water Instructor certification in 2010.
I also have a whole lot of PADI specialties: Project AWARE, Project AWARE – Fish Identification, Project AWARE – Coral Reef Conservation, Boat Diver, Deep Diver, Digital Equipment, Digital Underwater Photographer – Level 1, Digital Underwater Photographer – Level 2, Drift Diver, Enriched Air / Nitrox Diver, Handicapped Diver – Buddy, Handicapped Diver – Leader, Multilevel Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist, and Underwater Navigator.
I hope you find the information here useful, and if there is something you’d like to see discussed, don’t hesitate to ask! Visit the Contact Page for up-to-date contact information.
